IT Business Analyst

Job description

1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

   • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business and technical requirements.
   • Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications for the development team.

2. Process Mapping and Improvement:

   • Utilize tools like Visio to map current business processes, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
   • Analyze existing processes and propose data-driven solutions to optimize workflows.

3. Solution Design and Documentation:

   • Work closely with IT architects and developers to design technical solutions that align with business requirements.
   • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flows and functional specifications.

4. Workshops and Stakeholder Engagement:

   • Organize and facilitate workshops to gather requirements, present solutions, and align stakeholders.
   • Act as a key point of contact between business units and IT, ensuring clear communication and understanding.

5. Support and Development:

   • Provide ongoing support to the development team, clarifying requirements and assisting in the resolution of issues.
   • Participate in the development process, ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into the technical design.

6. Testing and User Support:

   • Engage in acceptance testing, working closely with business users to validate that solutions meet their needs.
   • Follow up on testing results, coordinate bug fixes, and ensure successful implementation of new systems.

Criteria

• Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience as an IT Business Analyst, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Experience with business process mapping tools like Visio, data analysis, and project management.
• Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., BPMN, UML, JIRA).
  • Strong communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology is a plus.
