Job description
Prosource is actively seeking a full-time Functional Analyst to join our client in the energy sector. This team focuses on digital projects related to the inspection and maintenance of transport network infrastructures, quality control of metering equipment, and development of dispatching tools. You will also support and maintain both existing and future tools in these areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to end-users on production systems.
- Understand and evaluate internal customer needs, offering guidance and solutions that align with the architecture office.
- Analyze functional and business challenges, determining the best solutions.
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories.
- Document business processes and system functionalities using UML artifacts (e.g., use case diagrams, activity diagrams, etc.).
- Define domain interface specifications using domain-driven design (DDD) principles.
- Assist teams in breaking down user stories into tasks and action plans.
- Prepare and follow up on system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Review functional specifications and interface design deliverables.
- Serve as the main point of contact for functional queries during development.
- Follow up on implementation progress and facilitate planning sessions.
- Assist in creating user manuals, release notes, and user training sessions.
- Recommend business process improvements based on past experiences.
Criteria
Key Competencies:
- Fluency in Dutch, French, and a good command of English.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Adaptability and the ability to work within enterprise architecture and security standards.
- A background in the energy sector or asset management is a plus.
Required Technical Skills:
- Ability to understand, challenge, and formalize customer needs.
- Proficiency in UML Business Process Modelling (BPMN).
- Experience with UI design and providing end-user support.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Familiarity with tools like UML modeling software (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect), agile development tools (e.g., MS Visual Studio TS), and documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Confluence).
- Knowledge of relational databases, with experience writing SQL queries on Oracle and MS SQL Server.
- Knowledge of SAP PM (S/4HANA) is an advantage.
