Objective

Increase the maturity of new product development life-cycle and processes.

Challenges

Obtain a CMMI Maturity Level 2, which is required for suppliers within the automotive industry.

Solution

A quick scan was executed to evaluate the product development life cycle and to prepare a plan for improvement. Then, a formal but practical project management approach, using Practical Project Management, was introduced for our client. Prosource provided a process improvement expert to lead this CMMI Improvement programme. A project portfolio dashboard was set up and KPI’s were introduced. Scrum was launched for the formal product lifecycle, and large scale agile was introduced according to SAFE principles. Furthermore, project managers were trained, via practical project management sessions, to obtain this maturity level.

Prosource also provided a programme manager for a large project within the automotive industry.
